The KOTH is a central point on the map that nations can compete to capture. This feature adds an ongoing PvP challenge that gives nations a reason to rally their forces, strategize, and dominate the battlefield. The KOTH isn’t just about bragging rights it comes with real, tangible rewards for the victorious nation.
To capture the King of the Hill (KOTH), you first need to select the nation you want to capture it for by running the command /koth select. Once your nation is selected, you must stand on the KOTH for 2 minutes without being kicked out or outnumbered. During this time, it will notify the controlling nation that someone is attempting to capture the KOTH.
After a successful KOTH capture, the area will enter a 30-minute cooldown, during which it cannot be captured again. This gives the capturing nation time to use its advantages before needing to defend it.
There is a portal from spawn that leads directly to the KOTH area, allowing players to easily teleport there to contest or defend it.
The nation that captures the KOTH will receive a boost in XP when farming crops. Instead of the normal 1 XP point per crop, they will earn 2 XP points per crop, giving them a significant advantage in crop related activities.
